While I am all for unteasible baby names, there are times when I wish parents would be more creative. My sister just found out she is having another girl. The name her husband and she came up with is Avery Leigh. A very pretty name but when your first born girl is Ava Ryleigh, it is more like a repeat. The question I pose is... is that too close of a name????

might as well name them the same... hahahha thats just me though...
Personally, I wouldn't go with that. There is exactly one letter difference between those two names!

Siblings should each have their own identity and that starts with a name that is unique from her sister's, IMO.
Personaly I think that is def. to close of a name. I see this posing problems when they get bigger, I am not a fan but hey they aren't my children.
Maybe there is some sort of attachment by parents to pick these names. My sister named her firstborn Henry Nelson (I wasn't crazy about it but he is Jr. so what can you say?) when she had her second she named him Daniel Nelson. Our entire family was confused about the reason for it so it has become a taboo topic around them. We all still think that somewhere down the line the boys will wonder what exactly happened and maybe even think its a little cuckoo! Thank God for name changes!!
I thought I would pass along that even though there is only 12 days till the baby comes they are now debating the baby,a name!
I think thats too close. I have a friend who has two sons and one was named Andy and the other one Andrew, now everyone gets the names mixed up. I think the same will happen to her girls.
I wanted to pass along that the baby was born. I was told a week before she was born that they were changing the name to Ella Leigh. At least now the first name was different. But low and behold while my sister was recovering from her C-Section her husband told the nurse that the baby's name is Avery Leigh. That is what I gert for hoping.

She is a cute baby though.
