I'm considering using these diapers instead of disposable ones.  I am unsure though as I don't know anyone thats tried them. If anyone has used these Gdiapers I'd love to hear about your experience (leaks, red marks between the leg and body, replacement of pant, washing experience, etc.) and if you'd reccomend them and if they have saved you money.  Thanks!

I tried the gdiapers and hate to report that I haven't had a great experience with them. The cloth liner gets so scrunched up and my son constantly leaks while wearing them. The disposable liners work better but they are more expensive than disposable diapers!

Many of my friends are using BumGenius and LOVE them. If I hadn't already bought the gdiapers, I would switch to those!
bumgenius really? i thought those were more of a hassle than the gdiapers...thats dissapointing..i don't know anyone that uses cloth so any thoughts/ideas you could share with me would be greatly appreciated!
ive read reviews on the bumgenius and i really just wish there was a way to try each type of diaper out before buying haha. oh if it were a perfect world. you said with the g's your son leaks constantly...but you are keeping them? so do they leak but not that bad? I think my problem is i don't understand how the bum's work bc they advertise as if everyone is already familiar with them and the g's break it all down barney-style. the g's seem easier to use and the bums seem to complain a lot about the smell. I dont know its all so confusing and expensive. it seems just as expensive to start up cloth diapering as it is to just do disposable and find them on sale..i dunno. (ive been finding huggies and walgreens brand on sale for 7 dollars or less a pack and when i have huggies coupons i can buy that much more---i figure even if i go cloth itll be nice for night time and travel to have some disposable.)
i haven't tried them but my favorite diapers for my first child was the dollar general brand
they were good diapers and i plan on using them again with my baby due in 6 weeks
I am a new expecting parent who is planning to try cloth diapers also. There are a ton of options out there currently and a lot less hassle than old school cloth diapers.

There are some options for renting diapers or trialing different diapers until you find several you like.
Rent newborn diapers here for three months for a total of $30/month!:

Another rental package option: http://kozzybottoms.com/category_54/Diaper-Packages.htm
Or here you can choose what you like and return for a small restocking fee what you don't like:

You can also check the web and find tons of websites with a ton of information to help pick the right cloth diapers for you. Also, there is always the option of a cloth diaper service that will loan you their prefolds and covers and wash them for you when dirty.

I plan to use a mix of Rumperooz, Flip, Happy Heinys, Kushies, Thirsties, Fuzzibunz, and Bum Genius to start out. Good luck in your search!
