Are you nursing?  My Doctor told me that some moms will go the entire time their nursing without having their period.  Which is why a lot of women get pregnant while nursing; they don't realize they are ovulating.  My son is 2 months and I have not started my period again.  I've talked to other moms I know, some who are nursing and some that aren't and a lot of them went several months before starting their period again.  I too was worried until I spoke to my Doc and my friends about it.  Now that you no longer have to worry, be glad that you don't have to deal with that nasty aunt flo for a while.  :)

Yes i am.

Wow well it would be really nice to go the entire time nursing without.  Thanks for the info and help :)

Oh Boy! Yes it has happened to me, but my fiance was a little careless with the pull out method before I could get birth control.  I think along with what Renee said and maybe some stress is why you have not had your period yet. All I gotta say and I'm sorry if it didn't help, but I was right there with you I was freaking out just a couple weeks ago. By the way, was your baby born on September 27th?

Oh. Well I hope its just cuz im nursing and stressed.  Yes she was born on September 27.

My son is 2 1/2 and I still have not had my period :) I became pregnant with my second son just after weaning my oldest and therefore did not start my cycle back up again. My second son is now eight months and still no sign of my period. It is normal so just enjoy this time you have without all the joys of a period.

Congrats on your adorable little girl!

Wow! I didnt know that it was normal, i had always just assumed you started back up a couple months after the baby was born.

Thank you :)

i know lots of people have told you this already, but if you are breast feeding it is completely normal. my son is 8 months old and i haven't had one yet. if pregnancy while breast feeding is a concern ask your doctor to put you on "lite" birth control it is a pill that is estrogen free...but still assists with birth control as nursing is not 100% effective on its own.
Ok well thats good then.. Yeah my dr told me about that pill.
Not sure if you got put on or not but when i got put on the "lite" pill it did dry me up a bit and the baby was nursing more and more steady at 2hrs from the time she started sometime sooner
No i didnt get put on the pill..
Even if you aren't breastfedding it's still normal to not have a period for a few months, it's your hormones trying to get back on track while retaining the vital nutrients both you and your baby need during those first months. There have been some cases where new moms have not gotten their periods until ten months after the birth of their babies. Just keep checking in with your doctor he can tell you whether or not there's reason to be concerned but generally its just part of new mommyhood and congrats about your baby girl :).
Well my daughters 6 months now and I still havent gotten it :) And thanks :)
