My five year old is an old soul and mystifies me more than I can say. She is in Kindergarten and gets a report home every day with stars to tell us how she did in school. She has been regularly receiving red and yellow stars for being disruptive in class (she likes to talk... a lot). We warned her and told her we expected to see green stars on her report next time. She came home the next day and when asked how she did the told us that she had a substitute who did not understand the rules. She then gave us her report and sure enough there was a green star under behavior. The thing is that the green star was colored green over a yellow star. When interrogated my daughter fessed up to not having a substitute and modifying her daily report card. I had to leave the room... not because I was mad, but because I needed to laugh and I have only Karma to blame as this little girl is doing the things my brothers and I did to my parents... the difference is, we didn't start until we were 9... She is still just 5.

That is my funny story... share yours ;)

Oh my, that is just way too cute!! hehe...It's amazing what kids do to get out of trouble. My 2.5 year old is just now learning, but she does some things that are just downright naughty! Her favorite thing right now is to stick her tongue out at me when she's gotten in trouble. Sometimes it's funny and sometimes it's not! My favorite is when she tries to take a toy from her sister(just 13 months younger than she is) and when confronted she'll start crying and saying, "NO Colby take that toy from me!!" lol *rolls eyes* These kids...what they put us through, eh?!
