Hi I'm a new parent, well not really new, I have a 23 yr old son and a 20 yr old daughter and now I am the proud mommy of 5 month old Justin or as I also call him my little peanut. Being 40 and pregnant definately had it's challenges but I wouldn't change it for anything. It's such a blessing to be "mommy" again. Now, I can't just seem to lose the weight in fact I think I'm gaining weight. I'm diabetic, have a thyroid problem, and get no help at home with ANYTHING, so for me to work out on the new treadmill (yes I said new) is impossible. I'm also going to school (online right now) to finish my bachelors degree. I broke my back in 2003 and had 2 back surgeries in 2007 and for some reason I'm a clutz now, I fall so easily, which brings me to the other problem, I'm afraid to walk down the stairs with the baby because I'm afraid I will fall. I know I can take him for a walk but the weather here in Michigan hasn't been the best lately. Since I'm new to this website I thought I would search out some groups for some moral support and to maybe meet some friends even if they are just through email.

Good Afteroon Ladies. I have a 3 month old beatiful baby girl. I gained around 45 pounds during my pregnancy. I am now 150 lbs. I would like to get down to 135-140 lbs. I work out hard 4 times a week to Mel B's home fitness DVD. I would love to have a friend to also workout with and keep each other motivated. Also so we can hang out with the babies. I would love to meet someone else with a newborn so we can all bond together. I live in NYC. Hope to hear from someone.

Hey everyone. My name is Nichole and I'm a single mom of 2. My son just turned 2 and my baby girl is fixing to be 9 months. I have about 50-60 pounds I'd like to lose, and I'd like to say its all baby weight buut I'm not that lucky. However I've decided that its time to do something about it. I'm not getting any younger and I'd like to be around to see my great grandchildren. So I joined the Y(and just FYI they offer financial assistance and they have a nursery! oh and if you get approved for assistance you also get a discount it you have children that want to be in one of their programs!!) and this is my 2nd day working out! I don't have a lot of money but I have to do something and the Y has so many programs and classes that it just seemed like a good choice. So here's showing everybody some support and hoping that I'll get some back! Good LUCK!!!

I'm starting my diet tommarow. I have a problem with binge eating like the saying goes "Once you pop the fun don't stop!" lol. So, I'm going to try to eat like a bird pretty much like eat a bunch of little meals and snacks throughout the day to keep my metabolism up, and also I just joined my local gym, so I will be trying to go everyday for an hr and I am also going to do Pilates and Yoga classes. I am also going to get this dvd I spotted @ Target...I think it's called Mommy & Me Fitness. [I think it's excercises you can do with your baby.] which is killer because I can spend time bonding with my baby while shedding the lbs! I know we'll have fun! I know I need to stay away from greasy foods, and eating out is my biggest downfall...it's so way convenient. But I am doing this to be healthy for my babygirl and to keep up with all her energy cause she's a little spitfire! But I also want to start getting into good eating habits and fitness to be a role model for her! Wish me luck and encouragement is always welcomed from you guys! Support would be super great! I will def. do the same in return! Here's to new beginnings!

I am with Tara on this. I lost all of my pregnancy weight two weeks after having my daughter. And now some of it has crept back (that'll teach me for bragging)! I don't have time or the money to join a gym, so buying a dvd seems like it would be the best... I have heard GREAT things about the Wii Fit, but it's just not in the budget at the moment.

Keep updating on progress made and I will do the same!

Hi, I am a stay at home mommy of 2. I have a 3 month old little girl and a 3 1/2 year old little boy. They both keeping me going. I don't have much time to leave the home to go workout. So I wanted something that I can do at home. I recently just won a contest through Enfamil and won a gift card to Toys R Us. So I bought the Nintendo Wii and Wii Fit w/ the balance board. This is so much fun! I can't wait to see some results. Definitely worth every penny. Plus I have changed my eating habits.

I just bought a Tracey Anderson DVD...she's the "celebrity" trainer to Gwyneth Paltrow and Madonna...It's 50 minutes long and it worked my muscles in a way they've never been worked before (no lie). She has this CRAZY segment where you literally have your arms up in the air for what seems like the longest 5 minutes in my life. But I have to say, I've done it twice and I already feel fitter in some weird way. It's not complicated...the exercises are almost weird...and she has no personality and doesn't give enough instruction...but I think it works!
