Hi Trinity,
I've left chicken marinading in the fridge all day before and it's been fine, I would make sure you cook it when you get home though.

does anybody know how long you can leave chicken marinating for before it goes bad? like could i toss some chicken in a bowl of marinade cover it and leave it in the fridge while i go to work for 9 hours and then come home and cook it? i just dont want it to spoil.

Thanks Elyse I checked out the site..its really informative. Theres another site, similar, but for moms and i think its US based. It breaks everything down barney-stryle (really really easy) and it has soo many different catagories. its www.family.go.com then select food on the left tab or www.family.go.com/food

Here is a really good site:
http://www.bbcgoodfood.com
You can search in sections such as wellbeing and quick recipes there are even videos on there showing you how to cook.
It is completely free and if you like the recipes you can add them to a online binder so you can refer back to them whenever you like.
Great for beginners and experts alike.

anybody know anything about boiling chicken? someone gave me a recipe calling for boiled chicken-- boiled chicken breasts cut up, 1 pkg velveta block cheese, 1 can rotel, boiled angel hair pasta, sauteed veggies to taste, 1 cup of water. chop up cheese real small or melt down a little add to hot drained noodles, mix until cheese is mostly melted (making the 1 cup of water hot and adding at this time might help melt down the cheese if you dont want to dirty another dish in the microwave), add in other ingredients (chicken, rotel, veggies, and water if that hasnt been already added) and bake in a pirex (sp?) dish for about 30 minutes. add other garnishings if you like--sprinkle top with shredded cheese before baking for example....anyway so i got the recipe but have no idea how to boil chicken breasts. any help would be great
