I am constantly buying books for my son! I am a kindergarten teacher so it's just a natural thing for me to stock up my home with children's literature. My son loves The Napping House by Audrey Wood, The Very Busy Spider by Eric Carle (he loves all the animals), How Do Dinosaurs Love Their Cats by Jane Yolen, and Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown. He has LOADS of books but these are the books that he constantly brings to me to read to him. I would say anything by Eric Carle is worthy of being read to children.

We just purchased a few good books: Time for Bed by Mem Fox, my boys insist we read it every night. Guess how much I love you by Sam McBratney, The Journey of a Grape by Holly M. Keeley, One more minute by Kristin Kish Whyte and my 3 year old's absolute favorite book, The Sun is so Quiet by Nikki Giovanni, a children's poetry book. We've borrowed from the library: A perfect day by Remy Charlip (not sure my boys will let me take it back!) and The sounds around town by Maria Carluccio

My daughters favorite book was my book - If Daddy Spoke Baby. Now that she is into Santa, Twas the Night Before Christmas is our bedtime favorite.

One of my favorite stories to read to my girls in "Mole Music". It is about a mole who just wants to play music and him not knowing just how much his music affects those around him. - Dena (Resident Mom)

My little one likes The Going to Bed Book by Sandra Boynton and always a favorite is Love You Forever by Robert Munsch.

Faith, Drew does the same thing when we read Goodnight Moon. And when we get back to her again, he puts his finger up.

These are sure to be memories we remember for a long time.

I Took the Moon for a Walk by Carolyn Curtis but I'm slightly partial to anything Barefoot publishes:)

My son's favorite book has been, Goodnight Moon. Whenever I begin to read it, he settles right down and becomes quiet. He loves the quiet old lady whispering "hush"!

He also has a new book called, Uh Oh! He loves turning the pages to see what the toddler in that book gets into next.
