Hi I'm a new parent, well not really new, I have a 23 yr old son and a 20 yr old daughter and now I am the proud mommy of 5 month old Justin or as I also call him my little peanut. Being 40 and pregnant definately had it's challenges but I wouldn't change it for anything. It's such a blessing to be "mommy" again.

Hi everyone. I make really affordable and very unique baby clothes and bibs. I can make them for toddlers too. Please check out my Etsy site and let me know what you think. (I make hair accessores and jewelry too.) New things go up all the time. I would love some feedback and help spreading the word. Thanks!

This is in response to the I DIDN'T KNOW I WAS PREGNANT. I don't believe either that you can carry a child for 9 months and not know. I am expecting my first child next month, and I must admit I have had a really easy pregnancy. I did not suffer from morning sickness, or cravings through out. I didn't find out I was pregnant until I almost 10 weeks, and only then did I take a test just to see. My cycle has always been abnormal so I didn't go by that. My boobs hurt though and were bigger ( and for me who had tiny boobs, that was a big sign). Even at 8 months I feel great, the only thing is I at times get heart burn. I am not hungry all the time or anything like that. So even without having a lot of the symptoms a lot of pregnant women have, I still know I am pregnant. I still have a stomache, and I have a baby in there that lets me know he is there all the time by kicking and moving like crazy. This is the most your body will ever change and I don't see how you wouldn't know, unless you are in so much denial that you can make yourself believe that you arent.

I DIDNT KNOW I WAS PREGNANT?! Ok, maybe I just have too much faith in people but I dont believe for a second people could carry a child for 9 months and not know their pregnant and then go through labor and deliver in a toilet (at the fair, at home, at disney world, wherever.) I knew I was pregnant almost from the day the egg was implanted. (when the egg is implanted sometimes you bleed, i had just gotton off my period and started bleeding like another period during the middle of the night--my boyfriend made me rush to the doctor first thing in the morning) even when the doctors told me both pregnancy tests were negative I still just figured it was waay too early to tell. 2 weeks later, another pregnancy test-negative. Since the first week I was constipated, very constipated. I even got a little irritable. My body wasn't acting right and I knew why even if I only had my boyfriend convinced. I had already been taking prenatals because we were trying to get pregnant (but we had been off birth control for nov. and concieved in dec thats 2 months..) so come jan 15 i got excited and took another pregnancy test while i was at work and at night and it was positive. that meant another rushed doctor visit (my boyfriend isnt easily excitable but he wants this baby soo bad.) Here we are almost 5 months later and feeling the baby move, having been through months of morning sickness, and the mood swings and "chicken pox" spots on my face and I just cant imagine someone going this far without knowing. much less 9 months and labor. any thoughts?

I have three kids and I have never dropped any of them. I HAVE however set them on the bed two seconds before they suddenly learned how to roll over-all three of the kidlets have rolled off the bed and landed on their head and they're all perfectly fine.

My husband has dropped the kids, banged their heads on walls (holding the baby in his arms and the turning around before realizing the baby's head would be too close to the wall), had them roll off beds, couches, etc. That's just life. You pay attention, do your best, and try not to worry too much. Think of it this way-your parents probably dropped you, and you turned out fine!

As far as doing things you'll regret later, that is pretty much a live and learn situation. We read up on potty training when our oldest was a baby and the books we read all said "Don't force a child to potty train. Wait until they do it on their own." And, must to our frustration, the kid didn't potty train until two weeks before his fifth birthday! It's okay though-we learned our lesson and our currently 26 month old daughter is already being forced to potty train. You live, you learn. As long as you always, always do and say what you believe is best for your children you'll be able to avoid the guilt and just appreciate the lesson for what it is.

No one is perfect!

ive been told to go ahead and accept the fact that im not only going to drop my baby (probably on its head) but that im going to at some time or another physically hurt him/her and will do/say things i regret later. im not ready to accept any of that..im not going to pad the entire house with pillows either but i just dont like thinking im going to drop my child

anybody else wondering where the conversations are? im still expecting so i can share the stories of new babies but does anybody have an "omg i can't believe i did that" story or a "my baby did the darndest thing" story? i do have a "my boyfriend/father-of-my-baby's niece did the cutest thing" story to share----she was just starting to pull herself up and try to get around (maybe 8 or 9 months?) and she crawled under the side of the couch, the only problem is the couch dips down in the middle so when she turned around she got stuck and couldnt get out...i got down and drug her to the end of the couch and pulled her out thinking she'd be more than a bit upset with me but instead she sniffled a little stood up and hugged me and then went on exploring..it was sooo cute!
