Keep trying!! You may find it easier to feed veggies first, then fruits once the veggies have been eaten. That way, they don't pick out the fruits first, get "full" and then refuse to eat the veggies.

My son loves spagetti sauce... we add pureed veggies to that... Also, he will eat broccoli if we put parmasean cheese on it... And he almost always eats carrots. But he does prefer fruit... melon, apples, pears, raisins... Any other ideas for getting veggies into kids?

Hello. How can I get my 19month old to eat veggies? It seems like this is a problem for every parent to get their child to do.

I need your help! As parent of a 3 year old and a 1 year old, I am concerned about marketing and advertising toward young children. I am also a doctoral student who is conducting research about parental attitudes toward advertising to young children, aged 2-7 years old. By filling out my survey, you have the opportunity to be entered into a drawing to win a $50 online gift certificate. You will not be solicited to. I just am interested in your attitudes toward advertising toward young children. You must have a child between the ages of 2 and 7 years old, including these ages.

The survey will take less than 10 minutes of your time. You can only take the survey once. Click on the link below.

I appreciate your assistance in my research! Please feel free to forward it to your family and friends.

Thanks,
Christine

I have the opposite problem of many mommies here. My son won't eat anything but fruits and veggies. We have to sneak in protien. Thank goodness for beans and Peanut Butter. I made my son's baby food, and he always loved the fruits and veggies. For those lloking for a switch, you can make mashed potatos with cauliflower instead of potato, or mix it it. Bananas dipped in ovaltine dark choclate are a good dessert that's healthy. Also, youcan try veggie chips, just make sure you get the ones that are mostly veggies, not mostly potato. I buy organic ones at Costco. It's a great alternative to potato chips.

Another solution straight from Food Networks latest addition, blend those veggies and add them into a favorite food prior to or after cooked...example, blend those peas and add to mash potatoes making them green...toddlers find it tempting and tastey,,,gets those greens in with a little fun and imagination...
