I work for a team of moms helping moms work from home. There's no sales, no risk and no inventory. I absolutely love it! Check out my website or PM me if you want more info. I'd love to share! www.themomteam.com/dominique00

Working at Home is Tougher than Ever

About 8 years ago during the infancy of EBay, I decided that if I could buy and sell online I could create a situation where I could feasibly work from home. Over a year ago I was well on my way as my EBay store really came into its own and my volume was up. Like so many businesses that are floundering, so too is my EBay store. I am still listing feverishly and I am still getting some sales, but not nearly enough to sustain myself. Then I came up with a brilliant (at least for me) idea. What if…See More

I've had two good inventions that I've been developing and submitting for patent. As a long time parent I found that both these things have been at the forefront of my mind. 1.The first is a bio-powered GPS locator. If your child is…

I've tried to send e-mails to the white house, but always get that the mailbox is full or some other silly reply.

Playing the Adults

We all want our children to be smart. If they start early enough they can graduate to college by the time they are 14 and work as a Doctor or Surgeon by the time they are 19... we would get the accolades from all our friends and family that we did such a wonderful job raising them and of course they must have inherited our intelligence to have accomplished the Doogie Howser scenario. My challenge is getting my daughter past the age of 5 with as little damage as possible. This weekend was a…See More

Waning Confidence

I won't tell you who I voted for at the last presidential election, but I really should as I voted specifically to make a point. I chose Ralph Nadar. I never expected him to win, show or even place. I did expect that the other parties would see a growing number of people concerned about the environment and some key issues with government that they would include some of those ideals into their policies. So far, nothing. I am happy with the choice America made, and I am not foolish enough to…See More

My Daughter, the cell phone and being 5

Okay, my little darling is 5 in human years but 25 in her own mind. She is strong and independent and mothers the other kids (she is often reminded that she is not the mommy, but you can't stop her). She loves to talk, make friends (that's a kind way of saying that she is a clique master creating small cliques that she can control) and she has an active social life... for a 5 year old. I try to keep her real, to help her harness her childhood and enjoy things while she can.A couple of days ago…See More

My Baby Loves Story Time

Little Eva is now officially two months old. She is exploring the world around her and love to look intently at things. We are finding that one of her favorite times is Story Time. Her favorite book is How Much Do I Love You and she visibly gets excited to see the images and hear us read to her. I realize she doesn't understand us, but the habit of reading to her and getting her interested in books. Early reading will give her a huge head start in life, but it's up to us to be consistent!

Cranky little Eva

Evalynne is so adorable! She has the cutest dimple when she smiles, and she smiles often. Still, the same time every evening she goes through the same routine. She smells dinner and starts crying. We haven't had a warm meal in 2 months. She typically cries for an hour and nothing soothes her. I walk her, rock her, change her, feed her, bathe her, give her a massage and even take her for car rides. I know this will pass, but I don't believe she is just stretching her lungs, I believe she is… Continue
