My baby chicken is finally home!

Well, my little chicken finally was discharged after a month in the hospital on June 7.2009. He was born at 5 lbs and 2 oz, he left the hospital at 6 lbs 2 oz and was just weighed at 6 lbs 10 oz. I have had him home just over a week and I am exhausted hahaha. I knew that it would in no way be an easy feat to be a mom but what a rude awakening! My son was born on Mother's Day, he is 8 weeks old as of July 9, 2009. I also have a 9 year old step-daughter named Kaylin, she is a doll.

Describe a typical weekend for you and your family:
We enjoy going to yard sales in the mornings, sometimes we will go to parks or hiking. We mostly enjoy renting movies and just spending time at home cuddling on our bed. Luckily that is something that is super easy to do with the baby. We enjoy taking Kaylin to fun places like the zoo and Fiesta Fun.
What’s your favorite “YOU” time activity:
Reading, having my hair done, taking baths, just listening to music and singing.
Your favorite thing about being a mom/dad is:
Just holding my little chicken in my arms and making him smile. It melts my heart. I just love staring at him. I'm looking forward to him being a little bigger so we can start playing around with him.
What’s the best parenting advice you ever received?:
Don't sweat the small stuff and to be patient. To know that I will make mistakes and to understand that it's ok when I do. To laugh it off and continue down my path of mommy-hood. Also, and this is probably the most important, do not be scared of poop and vomit hee hee.

Anything I feel like dancing to: Justin Timberlake, Prince, Kylie Minogue, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilara, Daughtry, Linkin Park, Mariah Carey, Jason Mraz, The Veronicas, Flo Rida, T.I.
